Week 72

Saturday we started out with a quick meeting, because it was so cold.  Facio went over where we are with the cabinet deliveries and installation.  He encouraged everyone to get their kitchen and bathrooms painted, so the cabinets could be installed.  Next, he told us that rain gutter were still a couple weeks out, because they had to order the right color for each house.  Finally, he discussed getting the properties graded and then the fence company would come out to install all fences.  Then we got to work on siding and porches.

Sunday we ended with a quick meeting.  Facio answered any questions people had. Next, he told us that cabinets, tile, and rock would be delivered Monday. He also made a list of what paint we needed.

 If we  want to get done by the end of January, we are going to need to put in a lot of extra hours this next month. We still have part of two homes to finish siding, lots of gable ends to finish, and porch rails to complete, before we can concentrate on working on the interiors of our homes.

Prayer Requests:

  • The cabinets get delivered and installed quickly
  • Volunteers will continue to come out to help us
  • We can get the exteriors of the house done soon, so we can move inside.
  • The rain gutters get installed soon.

This week we will celebrate Thanksgiving.  So I thought this week I would share the many things that I am thankful for this year. God has blessed our family so much.

I am thankful for:

  •  My Savior and Lord Jesus
  • God's sovereignty
  •  my husband and children
  • friends and family
  • Our new home
  • all the volunteers that come and help us on the house
  • PSHHC that provides the program that is helping us build our home.

Psalm 100

100 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing.
Know that the Lord Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations.
