 If we  want to get done by the end of January, we are going to need to put in a lot of extra hours this next month. We still have part of two homes to finish siding, lots of gable ends to finish, and porch rails to complete, before we can concentrate on working on the interiors of our homes.

Prayer Requests:

  • The cabinets get delivered and installed quickly
  • Volunteers will continue to come out to help us
  • We can get the exteriors of the house done soon, so we can move inside.
  • The rain gutters get installed soon.

This week we will celebrate Thanksgiving.  So I thought this week I would share the many things that I am thankful for this year. God has blessed our family so much.

I am thankful for:

  •  My Savior and Lord Jesus
  • God's sovereignty
  •  my husband and children
  • friends and family
  • Our new home
  • all the volunteers that come and help us on the house
  • PSHHC that provides the program that is helping us build our home.

Psalm 100

100 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing.
Know that the Lord Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations.

We met with Phil on Saturday during our first break for us to choose the tile.  Hopefully, it will be delivered soon.

We ended the weekend with a meeting.  Facio went over that Debbie's and Robert's home have the drywall taped this next week.  He would find out about the tile on Monday.  He would be buying the cement to fix Lupe's floor this week.  Our cabinets are scheduled to be delivered on Thursday the 21st.  Three more garage doors would be delivered soon (lots 12, 14,  and 15).  He lots 12, 14, 15 know that interiors  their homes could be painted this week.  He then answered different questions people had about their home.

I feel like we are making a lot of progress.  John has been on vacation so we have been able to install all of our window sills, door trim, and closets in our home.  He has one more week off. We are going to work on caulking, filling in nail holes, and painting the exterior siding.  It is exciting to see doors going up in other homes, too.  We still have a ways to go, but hopefully we can start installing the floors soon.

We were blessed this weekend by our church family.  On Saturday, Noah came out to work with all day.  He helped with painting and filling nail holes.  Then right before we left, a few families came out to bring Debbie's, Deena's , and our family dinner. It was great to visit with them and show them around our homes.  Then Sunday night, we were invited to another family's home for dinner.  We had a great time in fellowship with them.  This was a just what we needed.  Thank you to all our dear friends who come out to help, pray for us, and bring us meals.  All of these things help us to make it through the building process.  We can  not wait to be able to attend Sunday morning church service.  Praise God for all that He has given us and continues to provide for us.

Prayer Requests:

1) health for all of us and our family.
2) Volunteers to come out and help us.
3) Wisdom for Facio on how to complete the homes
4) Sub contractors will complete their work

Psalm 19

The Works and the Word of God.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

19 The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world.
In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
Its rising is from one end of the heavens,
And its circuit to the other end of them;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.
13 Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins;
Let them not rule over me;
Then I will be blameless,
And I shall be acquitted of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
