Week 81

This weekend we worked on finishing tile laying, painting the outside of the siding houses, driveways and pathways, and interiors of the houses.  Also, the fence company came out and started to work on our fences.

Prayer Requests:
1) the sub contractors come out and do their work.  We are still waiting on the plumber and the electrician to finish their work.

2) volunteers will come out to help us finish sooner.

3) All issues that were found this weekend will be resolved.

It is so exciting each week to see how beautiful the houses are.  We are so blessed.  At times it gets so frustrating, because we just want to finish up and move in.  We are all so tired.  Our family wants to be able to go to church again and worship with our church family.

Psalm 84

Longing for the Temple Worship.

84

How lovely are Your dwelling places,
Lord of hosts!
My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
The bird also has found a house,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young,
Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts,
My King and my God.
How blessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are ever praising You. Selah.
How blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
In whose heart are the highways to Zion!
Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a spring;
The early rain also covers it with blessings.
They go from strength to strength,
[f]Every one of them appears before God in Zion.
Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah.
Behold our shield, O God,
And look upon the face of Your anointed.
10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord gives grace and glory;
No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
12 Lord of hosts,
How blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Saturday was a beautiful day. It started out cold, but turned into a warm afternoon.  Facio had one homeowner inside and one outside working.  We worked on finishing up the interiors of our homes and driveway/ walkways.  Here is our weekend in photos:

Rebar working being done on Robert's house.

Each week I can see that we are getting closer to completing our homes.  We need to keep pushing hard to the finish.  We are all tired and are ready to be done.

This is my prayer for myself as we push to finish our home.

Hebrews 12:1-3

12 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
