Work Week 20

Due to the rain last weekend we could not pour footings on lot 14, 15. 16, and 17.  So many of the families came out on Wednesday before Thanksgiving to pour those footings.  Here are the photos from that day.

We worked on lot 11, 10, 8, and 7 while we waited for the cement trucks to arrive.

 At 11:30 the concrete trucks arrived and we began to work on pouring the footings.

First lot was 14 (Leticia's lot).

Then we moved to lot 15 (Carlos and Jackie's lot).

Next was Debbie's lot (16).

Finally, we moved to lot 17 (Robert and Maria's.)

Saturday, we started with our safety meeting on back safety.  We discussed our goal of having all the house to slab by Jan. 1st.  This will take a lot of work on the weekends and during the week.  We got started pulling off the inside forms on lot 14, 15, 16, and 17.  Maria, Wendy, Debbie, and myself worked on putting the bolts on lots 11, 10, 8, and 7.

 After the forms were pulled off, most of us worked on spreading the dirt and compacting the dirt.

 After the dirt, we put down plastic and then spread the sand.

Prayer Requests:

1) Safety on the house site
2) Energy.  We are needing to work more than 40 hours per week.
3) Harmony--  That we would work together to build our houses.
4) Wisdom for our Supevisor on how to motivate us and teach us each week.
5) That people would come out to help us.

Psalm 34

34 I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul will make its boast in the Lord;
The humble will hear it and rejoice.
3 O magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and He answered me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces will never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
And saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them.
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good;
How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
9 O fear the Lord, you His saints;
For to those who fear Him there is no want.
10 The young lions do lack and suffer hunger;
But they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing.
11 Come, you children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Who is the man who desires life
And loves length of days that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it
