Saturday morning, we started with our usual meeting. Debbie did her safety meeting, then Facio updated us on where the houses are at with inspections and sub contractors. He then told us we would be focusing on getting the first 3 houses ready for the stucco. He hopes that the sub contractor would be out this week. Lupe, Paula, Patricia, and Steve focused on getting lot 8's shingles on. Carlos and John focused on doing the trim work on lot 8's porch. Jackie, Maria, and Luisa worked on doing blocking for siding. Brandon painted his fascia. Leticia worked on wrapping the houses for stucco. Debbie, Deena, David, Ian, and I worked on windows. Delilah, Jesseyna, and Evelyn painted Debbie's fascia. Tony, Andy, Robert and the crew he brought out worked on shingling lot 17. Chad (Pat's fill in) and Michael worked on finishing the shingles on lot 7 (Deena's house) and starting the garage.

It is great to see progress being made on the houses. We only have 3 1/2 houses that need windows. We have 2 homes completely shingled and 2 homes close. It is helping have families recruit friends to help with the roofing. Thank you to all the people that came out this weekend to help. We would not be this far along if it was not for your help.
We still have a long ways to go to get the homes completed, but as each house gets the shingles on I can see progress. John, Debbie, and I are planning on working on put the shingles on our homes this Labor day. If you want to help, we are starting at 7:30 am. Please let us know if you can come out.
Prayer Requests:
1) Facio and Toby wisdom on how to lead our group
2) Subcontractor to come out and finish their work
3) We pass inspections
4) Endurance, strength, health, and patience. We have a lot of work ahead.
Psalm 63:1-8
The Thirsting Soul Satisfied in God.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
63 O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly;
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
4 So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
4 So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.
6 When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches,
7 For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
I meditate on You in the night watches,
7 For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
